Another IRI Update: Registered teams and VEX News

FIRST Friends,

It’s time for another IRI update.

Registration news:

Thanks to those of you who have been hustling to get your IRI registration sent to Steve at Perry Meridian these last few days.

56 teams have registered and paid to secure their spots at IRI:

This is an incredible lineup of stellar teams. Thank you all.

These teams are vying for the 4 remaining spots:
135, 188, 573, 862, 910, 1038, 1458, 1504, & 1525

The next 4 of these teams who get their checks to Steve Wherry at Perry Meridian will get the remaining 4 openings.

716, the Who’sCTEKS from Falls Villiage, CT have jumped from the waiting list to the main list, just today.

1083 from Florida will not be able to make it up for the competition.

Vex news:

We are thin with Vex competition sign ups. Currently, we have so few teams that we are considering the cancellation of this event. We don’t want to do that!!! The game is going to be unveiled on this Friday (July 8th), and all you need to do is create a simple Vex robot using 1 kit. So, if you have some interested kids, or even a crew of adults who want to compete, have them sign up. This is open for anyone.
