On December 14th, 2016 the Northern FIRST LEGO League Championship event took place at the IPFW Gates Athletics Center Field House.

The 2016 - 2017 FLL Challenge is called Animal Allies, and it focuses on solving real-world problems related to when people and animals interact.

The Southern Indiana FLL Championship will take place on January 28th and is hosted by Purdue Polytechnic Columbus at the Foundation of Youth in Columbus, Indiana.
