IRI History 2000
In 2000, the Indiana Robotics Invitational was held in the Memorial Gym in Kokomo, Indiana. It was hosted by Team #45, the TechnoKats. A total of 21 teams showed up to compete - not a bad number! The winners of the Co-Opertition FIRST game that year were Team #1, the Juggernauts; Team #65, Huskie Brigade; and Team #240, Mach Vee.
Highlights:
- Team #1 started their dominance of the 2000 off-season events, winning 4 (or 5) after not getting picked for the elimination rounds at the FIRST Nationals.
- Team #65 won their first tournament.
- Team #240 camped out in rural Howard County, but looked great in the win.
- All Michigan teams won the Invitational that year.
