Indiana teams fared well at this year’s FIRST Championship in Atlanta, GA. These teams received honors and recognitions for their outstanding performances.
The Director’s Award for FIRST Lego League, the program’s top honor, went to FLL Team #266 Central Space Lab One from IN.
The Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield, and Byers Entrepreneurship Award went to FRC Team #234, CyberBlue from Indianapolis, IN.
The Xerox Creativity Award went to FRC Team #868, TechHounds from Carmel, IN.
The Website Design Award went to FRC Team #461, Westside Boiler Invasion from West Lafayette, IN.

Indiana’s Office of Career and Technological Education website shows the phenomonal growth and lifespan of Tech Ed within our state. Many FIRST robotics teams are mentioned in their Good News Section.

All teams and awards for the 2006 Regional Competition season have been updated. The next big update will occur after the Championship Event.
Also, a link to a map for each team’s location within Indiana has been put on individual team pages. We are hoping to have an interactive click map up soon.

Indiana is lucky enough to have 50% of our teams attending the Championship Event in Atlanta this year! IndianaFIRST would like to extend warm wishes to these teams and, of course, hope for an all-Indiana round of finals on Einstein! Teams attending are:

The IndianaFIRST website is being updated for the 2006 season. The FIRST information for the state’s new rookies has been posted, with an individual team page. Coming soon will be 2005 updates to the Awards page, updates to the Board of Directors pages, more information about the 2006 IRI, and much more.

To help allieviate the potential problems accessing the manual on the USFIRST.org website on saturday, a mirror of the manual has been placed on this site.
We make no claims to this being official or accurate, or upto-date if FIRST decides to change anything between now and tomorrow but its there if anyone would like to download it.
